An innovative, well-established consultancy that have been bringing buildings to life by creating mechanical and electrical engineering design solutions for a wide range of sectors across the built environment. They have a strong presence in the local market and have driven sustainability to the core of their projects, building up a solid reputation of being able to deliver environmentally friendly and cost-effective engineering solutions. This company work across both the public and private sector across Education, Commercial, Hotel & Leisure and more. They are currently seeking a Building Physics / Performance Engineer (IES) to join their growing team. This would suit an experienced IES modeller or someone with a mechanical design background with IES experience who may be looking to transition fully or into a hybrid role.

Role

  • Use your expertise to create accurate energy models for buildings using IES-VE software
  • Analyse building designs and provide energy-efficient solutions
  • Conduct simulations to evaluate energy consumption, thermal comfort and daylighting.
  • Producing PART L & EPC reports,TM54,Thermal Comfort Reports, daylight analysis, LZC reports , BREEAM modelling reports, etc.
  • Prepare reports based on modelling results, providing solutions to optimise building performance.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on industry regulations, trends and best practice

Qualifications / Experience

  • Strong knowledge of IES software and building physics principles
  • Experience in energy modelling and sustainability analysis
  • Deep understanding of and passion for sustainable design and energy efficiency
  • Experience in this role or in experience with IES in a mechanical building services design role
  • Degree qualified
  • A technical and analytical mind with a desire to improve building performance and understanding
