Business Development Executive - Glasgow


Salary - 35000 Basic (Fantastic bonus scheme, unlimited and uncapped commission)


Fully Remote with Laptop, Phone and any mileage costs included.


The ideal candidate will be handling incoming calls and emails from customers and be part of the existing team organising effective logistics solutions for our clients daily.

Earning potential with this role is huge and uncapped, if you choose to focus on the commercial element of your desk and bring in new business you will be rewarded with a monthly sales bonus. It is very achievable to earn an additional 1,000 per month in bonuses with high performers earning more than 5,000+ per month just in bonuses.

Main Responsibilities Include:


* Providing first class logistics service to our customers.
* Management and handling of all support calls and emails, including full investigation, replication and Identification of user training issues.
* Training on the use of our internal and external software solutions.
* Considering and planning the most effective route for freight
* Organising the transportation of freight between intermediate destinations
* Tracking the movement of freight using our bespoke software
* Reporting back to clients, keeping them up to date with the progress of goods
* Deciding on the best way to package stock, taking into account factors such as weather, terrain and type of goods
* Taking appropriate measures for the movement of delicate goods and advising customers accordingly
* Checking countries' legal requirements to make sure all the appropriate documentation (eg insurance and customs forms) are valid and compliant
* Staying up to date with relevant political activities and legislation that might impact the transportation of freight.
* Organising payments or process transactions on behalf of the client, such as freight charges.
* Building commercial network in Scotland, developing relationships with existing customers and prospects

* Organised, capable and highly efficient to ensure prompt response times
* Previous experience of Microsoft Office 365 with high proficiency.


Desirable Skills / Experiences:

* Knowledge of the shipping / logistics industry
* Previous experience of helpdesk support or sales in a customer facing environment
