Position

An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Business Manager for Acute Services at University Hospital Crosshouse.

What you will do:

As lead for governance processes for the Acute Sites Services, you will ensure robust management of governance arrangements through effective support to the Acute Site and Divisional Senior Teams and continued development of improving governance systems. 

On behalf of the Site Director, you will lead on projects which can include implementation/design of services and implementation of national policy.  As such, you will represent NHS Ayrshire and Arran across a wide range of local, regional and national fora.

You will also will be responsible and accountable for the development and provision of the administrative service within Acute Services Management team, ensuring implementation of NHS Systems, to maintain effective support to all staff within the Services, thereby facilitating the delivery of organisational objectives.

Working closely with the relevant Estates and Facilities teams, you will have delegated responsibility from the Site Director to chair the Site Infrastructure Group to ensure that the facilities and estate are maintained to a suitable standard for service delivery.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

You should be educated to Degree level or equivalent, with significant Business Management experience, and can evidence experience of business management roles and developing innovative and creative solutions to achieve organisation objectives within a Healthcare or related environment.

Experience of managing budgets, and excellent communication and time management skills, and an ability to prioritise your workload are essential skills for this role.

You should also have significant knowledge of the health and care sector and demonstrate success in leading projects and change management.
