Cancer Palliative Care Clinical Nurse Specialist

Band 6 £37,831- £46,100 pro rata

Plus £1,279 Distant Islands Allowance pro rata

29.7 Hours per Week

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Macmillan Nursing Team as a Cancer and Palliative Care Clinical Nurse Specialist working across Lewis & Harris, based in Western Isles Hospital.

The post holder will be required to undertake high level assessment and clinical decision making to address complex healthcare needs by using specialist knowledge and clinical judgement, and able to initiate interventions and refer to other colleagues or services as appropriate.

The team work in conjunction with their colleagues based on the Isle of Benbecula to provide a cancer and palliative care service Monday-Sunday 0830-1630hrs

The post holder will be an experienced Registered Nurse educated to degree level with knowledge and experience in cancer and palliative care.

The successful applicant will be required to register with the PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) Scheme.
