Full Job Description

Duties will be all those necessary to help with the running of the Park including:

  • operating the site office and shop;

  • welcoming and checking in guests;

  • explaining to visitors the facilities of the Park and the amenities of the local area and dealing with any queries or comments from visitors during their stay;

  • administering bookings;

  • taking payments and recording booking details on the booking system;

  • undertaking grounds maintenance including grass cutting, maintaining roadways, clearing snow, maintaining paths, tree pruning and fence maintenance);

  • supervision of the Caravan Park in the managers' absence;

  • keeping the site including the grounds and toilet blocks up to an exceptional standard of neatness and cleanliness at all times;

  • ensuring the health and safety of yourself and all others on the Caravan Park are given a high priority at all times, including following the Employer's health and safety policy and risk avoidance measures;

  • attending meetings and training courses as required;

  • helping to ensure that all machinery is properly maintained;

  • undertaking all duties with a professional attitude and with due care to the health and safety of staff and guests at all times, with a general goal of achieving a high customer return rate to the Caravan Park.

    Additional paid hours may be required from time to time and the successful applicants must be willing to undertake additional hours. We expect to need 2 days a week cover over the winter season ( 1 December 2024 to 31 March 2025 ) and this work could be available to the successful applicants by mutual agreement but it is not a requirement of the role.


  • The successful applicants will be hard working, enthusiastic, conscientious, have attention to detail, work under their own initiative, be self motivated, flexible and outgoing with excellent people skills. A friendly and happy attitude is essential along with an ability to meet high standards and be tactful where required.

    The successful applicants must be capable of carrying out ground maintenance, cleaning, supervision of the site, reception and shop duties. A driving licence is not essential but an advantage.

    The start date will be by mutual agreement and applicants should indicate their available start date if offered the role.

    Braemar Caravan Park is located in Royal Deeside within the Cairngorms National Park.

    With its world famous Braemar Gathering regularly attended by the members of the Royal Family. Braemar is an ideal place for walking, cycling, skiing, photography, wildlife watching, golf, sightseeing and much more.

    The Park has 97 pitches for caravans, motorhomes, campervans and tents, a small area for back packing tents plus 6 bespoke camping 'fog' pods. There is also a site office incorporating a small shop, childrens' play area and extensive washing, drying etc facilities. The park prides itself in its clean and friendly atmosphere.

    Braemar Caravan Park is part of Invercauld Estate, one of Scotland's premier highland estates.

  • Pay at £11.60 per hour;

  • Use of a hardstanding pitch with electric hook up with washing and drying facilities and wifi.

  • Use of a caravan if required;

  • Uniform and personal protection equipment;

  • 29 days holiday per annum, on a seasonal pro rata basis, which must be taken in the low season at times in agreement with the Joint Caravan Park Managers.
