Full Job Description

JOB PURPOSE We want Renfrewshire to be a Carer friendly community where we work in partnership with Statutory, Third Sector, Private and Community Organisations to ensure: Carers are listened to and valued in their role Carers have a voice and are involved in shaping the services MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES To ensure the effective representation of Carers and Carers issues within local and National forums Develop the Carers forum to be representative of Carers in Renfrewshire. Keep comprehensive, accurate and accessible records and reports To ensure effective lines of communication between Carer representatives and Carers To support Carers representatives to be more confident, influential and involved in decision making processes Develop opportunities for collective support mechanisms for Carers representatives. To enable the sharing of information between carers representatives by establishing and supporting the Carers forum Manage own workload on a day-to-day basis and use initiative and judgment to make decisions regarding workload, priorities, to meet changing deadlines. Undertake additional duties as may be required to ensure the development and success of the Carers Centre. To train and support carers in their role as Carer representatives Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
