Catering Assistant

As a member of CPU team you will be an integral part of our operation, we are looking for someone to join our team with an excellent career progression and development opportunity in a fast paced, high volume kitchen. The right candidate will have some previous experience in a similar field and passion to work withinthe food industry.

Your duties include but not limited to:

• Prepare sandwiches, bagels, wraps etc neatly, accurately and within critical time frames


• Make small batches of fresh ingredients, recipe fillings and homemade sauces


• Helping with a small team to ensure efficient operation of shifts


• Establish sufficient stock levels and maintain supply over the next few days


• Checking incoming deliveries against paperwork, reporting any damage or shortages


• Packing and labelling of orders ready for distribution


• General kitchen duties and cleaning tasks as required
  
  Good knowledge and experience of food preparation


• Knowledge and experience of safe food handling practices including HACCP


• Friendly and able to build rapport with team and guests


• Able to multi-task and prioritise tasks


• Able to organise and thrive under pressure


• 1 year minimum experience in a similar role in either a restaurant, hotel or just a busy kitchen
