Full Job Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.  

The shift pattern is rotational days and nights.

The post holder will work within the nursing and multi-professional team to ensure a high standard of care to a defined patient group. Competently perform the necessary technical/invasive/physical aspects of care for this defined patient group.

The post holder will also carry out continued responsibility for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care and the setting of standards.

 Knowledge, training and experience required:

  • First Level Registered Nurse with a minimum of 4 years post registration experience.
  • 4 years experience and appropriate post registration qualification/relevant experience within this environment.
  • Ability to fulfil criteria outlined in the job description.
