Full Job Description

You will support the Shop manager in our Aberdeen retail shop - working with a team of volunteers to maximise profit and achieve a great shopping experience for our customers. We're such a diverse charity that part of your role will be to champion the PDSA name and raise awareness as well generating item and cash donations from the local community.

The role of Assistant Shop Manager will:

  • Work closely with the Shop Manager to maximise profit by ensuring a great retail experience, strong brand messaging, efficient stock rotation and good use of financial and competitor data

  • Coach a team of volunteers, to be the best they can be encouraging new ideas and ways of doing things

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement constantly reviewing KPIs and performance data to gain insight into what works and what doesn't

    You will need:

  • a proven track record of delivering objectives and profit targets

  • knowledge of what constitutes great customer service


  • self-motivation, organisation and a can do attitude
