Full Job Description

Job Title : Chef Job Description : Chefs plan menus and prepare, or oversee the preparation of food in hotels, restaurants, clubs, private households and other establishments.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team.As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen and ensuring the delivery of high-quality food to our customers. Your culinary expertise and leadership skills will contribute to the success of our restaurant.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute food production activities in the kitchen
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and quality standards
- Monitor food preparation and presentation to ensure consistency and excellence
- Train and supervise kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety procedures
- Collaborate with management to create menus that meet customer preferences and dietary restrictions
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain equipment in the kitchen
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- TASKS AND DUTIES REQUIRED: TASKS

requisitions or purchases and examines foodstuffs from suppliers to ensure quality

plans menus, prepares, seasons and cooks foodstuffs or oversees their preparation and monitors the quality of finished dishes

supervises, organises and instructs kitchen staff and manages the whole kitchen or an area of the kitchen

ensures relevant hygiene and health and safety standards are maintained within the kitchen

plans and co-ordinates kitchen work such as fetching, clearing and cleaning of equipment and utensils

Proven experience as a Chef or similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food production, and culinary techniques
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Proficient in food preparation, cooking, and presentation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
