Chef / Cook

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Chef/cook to join our team at Milestone Garden Centre. The ideal candidate will have proven experience of working in a similar role in a busy kitchen, be used to running the pass during a busy service and be able to present food to a high standard. You should have a positive can-do attitude and be willing to work closely with our Head Chef and the rest of our team to maintain the high standards in our restaurant. We are a very busy kitchen, so the ability to work quickly and keep calm under pressure is essential.

Duties will include:

• Preparing, cooking and presenting food to a high standard in all areas of the kitchen, from breakfasts to main meals and snacks


• Helping to ensure the upkeep of all food safety standards


• Running a section of the pass during busy breakfast and lunch service


• Assisting the head chef with orders, stock rotation and menu planning etc


Rate of pay to be discussed at interview depending on experience

We work on a fortnightly rota, working alternate weekends with the same day off each week
