Childcare & Education Practitioner - Nursery

We are currently seeking applications for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to fill the following post within our Childcare Team:-, Applicants must demonstrate they have knowledge of the Birth to Five document (Realising The Ambition:Being Me) (National Practice Guidance For Scotland) and Curriculum For Excellence.

Practitioners have a key role in the efficient and effective delivery of a setting and they must be able to promote the learning, development and all round well-being of children by identifying and meeting their care, support and learning needs, as well as being able to oversee the work of others and delegating tasks to maintain the running of the provision and well-being of the children as and when required.

The individual will have experience of working in an early learning and childcare setting and will be able to work as part of an established team in the delivery of a high quality service.

All applicants must hold a relevant childcare qualification, e.g. HNC in Childcare and Education; NNEB; SVQ Level 3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development, SVQ In Social Services (Children and Young People) SCQF Level 7 or equivalent.

Please note that all applicants for this post must be eligible to:-

Full Time - 35.83 Hours/Week (Monday - Friday)

Salary up to £24,953.17/annum depending on qualification based on 35.83 hours per week.

The successful applicant will work as part of a team delivering a high quality childcare and education service for children aged 4 months - 5 years in our Ferry Road Avenue nursery setting.
