Job Description

What is the role?

To ensure that the three Ayrshire Councils (North, South and East) are able to respond to civil emergencies, to prepare all necessary contingency plans, to participate in the response to emergency situations and support business continuity.

To engage with multi-agency partner organisations who may be required to respond to an emergency to ensure that there is an appropriate level of preparedness in place, for an effective multi-agency response to manage the full range of emergencies from localised incidents through to catastrophic emergencies.

Assist with the promotion, delivery and integration of the Council’s key objectives, specifically in relation to the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreement and Best Value.

Extra Information:

The Grade of this post is Grade 2 / Level 8; the hourly rate is from £18.52 to £20.18 and the annual salary is from £33,799 to £36,828.

Interviews for this post are scheduled to take place on 17 May 2024.

The successful candidate will primarily work from home with occasional travel within the South Ayrshire area. Frequency for attending the office may vary depending on the exigencies of the service.
