Full Job Description

Contract Scotland are working on behalf of an ever-expanding organisation, who now require an experienced Civil Engineer to join their team in Peterhead.

In this role, the successful candidate will be instrumental in helping shape the future of the business. With a focus on safety and operational excellence, the role involves designing and preparing precise engineering drawings using AutoCAD, compiling and issuing comprehensive tender documents, and supervising maintenance and construction works to exacting standards. Coordination with key departments ensures all facilities are impeccably maintained and inspected.

The ideal candidate will possess an HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, supplemented by over five years of relevant experience, with a preference for expertise in maritime or coastal engineering. Adept at managing civil, mechanical, and electrical works, the candidate will have a thorough understanding of Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. Proficiency in risk assessment, method statement production, and tender specification development is essential, alongside stellar communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.

Personal qualities sought include professional communication acumen, the ability to forge effective relationships, a conscientious and self-motivated approach, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. A willingness to learn and engage in professional development is highly valued.

In return, a competitive remuneration package awaits, complete with private healthcare and an attractive pension scheme. If this sounds like the right role for you, apply now in complete confidence.
