Full Job Description

The purpose of the role is to plan and effectively manage a case load of claims through provision of an efficient and timely claims handling service in accordance with service standards.

Key Accountabilities - Once Fully Trained:

Run your own caseload with minimal training and supervision

Developing the capability of issuing proceedings for motor accident cases

Process allocated claims and fully understand how to use the advanced Case Management system

Dealing with all new claims correspondence

Establishing liability and indemnity on all claims within the allocation

Negotiation of claims through to conclusion up to the point of a Hearing

Maintaining an effective diary regime

Referring any claim to the appropriate team Manager should the nature of the Claim change or deteriorate

Required:

At least 2 years previous experience in issuing proceedings for RTA's

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to use a range of communication styles;

Plans, prioritises and prepares in advance to maximise efficiency and meet deadlines

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships, influence and gain the respect of colleagues;

Computer Literacy with the ability to adapt to new technologies
