Join the Close Brothers Invoice Finance (CBIF) team where you will manage a portfolio of Invoice Discounting and Factoring clients for our Commercial Team, with funds in use of up to £3m.

Your portfolio of clients will span across a variety of sectors, and will be based all over Scotland. While you'll be based from home, you'll spend time out on the road meeting clients. You'll also have access to Close Brothers office space nearby.

To be successful in the role, you will need excellent relationship building skills and good head of numbers and risk management; ideally with a proven track record in both. You will ensure delivery of excellent customer service whilst maintaining a strong focus on risk management to preserve low bad debt and to maximising client life and income.,

  • Manage and control a portfolio of 40-50 factoring and invoice discounting clients with funds in use of up to £3,000,000

  • Minimise the risk of loss through use of risk management tools and implementation of risk management procedures

  • Maintain an understanding of the value of additional security in place per client

  • Maximise client life by ensuring delivery of excellent service and implement additional services where appropriate

  • Maximise income by ensuring the correct fee rates are maintained and by ensuring additional fees are charged where appropriate

  • Obtain and review financial information from clients

  • Undertake annual client reviews, and ad hoc reviews where facility changes are required

  • Undertake client visits as required

  • Source new business opportunities for Close Brothers Group from existing client base

  • Take on new clients as required

  • Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required

    You have relevant experience within Invoice Finance, including exposure to credit & risk

  • You have a proven track record of Client Management, demonstrating excellent communication and relationship building skills

  • You're highly numerate with an analytical mind; possessing the ability to interpret financial information.

  • You have experience in report writing

  • You're also able to meet strict deadlines.

  • You have a strong focus on doing what is right for your clients

  • You must possess a valid drivers licence


  • IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU:
  • Have prior experience of using RiskFactor.

  • While direct experience as a Client Manager would be ideal, candidates with experience as Client Executives / Administrators who are ready for a step up should also feel free to apply.
