What is the role?

Contribute to the delivery of strategic plans and co-ordinate a range of high-quality services which ensure continuous improvement and efficiency, and which drive transformational change by promoting a positive organisational culture of empowerment, innovation and change.

The specific areas of responsibility will be determined by the Council’s priorities and may change from time to time.  Currently, in addition to the principal accountabilities outlined below, this post will have responsibility for:

  • School staffing arrangements and workforce planning, including school staffing exercise, school staff and payroll census, co-ordination of surplus staff arrangements;
  • Education provision – planning delivery and monitoring including roll projections, class structures, pupil registrations, transfers, placing requests and placing request appeals;
  • Co-ordination of early years provision, including nursery admissions, capacity monitoring, purchase of spaces, payment to partners and early years census;
  • Review of relevant Trade Union agreements and representation at local JNCT/JCC meetings, with responsibility for the coordination of staff violence and aggression reporting.

Extra information:

The Grade of this post is Grade 4 / Level 13, the hourly rate is from £28.98 to £30.76 and the annual salary is from £52,888 to £56,137.

Interviews for this post are scheduled for 14 June 2024.

The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly between home and the office and the frequency for attending the office may vary depending on the exigencies of the service.
