Commercial Controller

A brand new, exclusive role within the Energy sector where those with a good understanding of Tax have an excellent opportunity to develop their career. In this senior position, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance and providing support across various tax-related and commercial responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• A proactive approach to handling the company's direct and indirect tax reporting. This entails filing for both the UK and other countries, cooperating with internal departments as well as outside tax consultants.
• The first point of contact for any financial inquiries from Contracts and Operations, collaborating with these divisions to create and manage in-country operating protocols.
• Conduct routine reviews of business processes to verify that all sales invoices are completed and that the proper interdepartmental procedures have been followed;
• Offer assistance as necessary with the setup of work cost reporting
• Additional financial duties as they come up and as long as the skill set allows, mostly helping the accounts manager with cashbook duties and department month-end reconciliation checks.

Ideally I am looking to speak with people who have proven experience of dealing with UK and International Tax matters, as well as IFRS and UK GAAP knowledge. A formal Accountancy qualification and previous working knowledge of the Energy sector would also be preferred, but strong QBE candidates will be considered.
