Full Job Description

Building deep-rooted partnerships with Local Authorities/other purchasers to identify their needs and provide business information to position our services to meet such needs. To lead the referral and admissions of students to support exceeding occupancy targets in Cambian Specialist Education Schools and Colleges

If you've got excellent interpersonal communication skills and strong commercial awareness gained in Education, Childcare or Residential setting, we can offer you a rewarding commissioning manager role with a difference., Highly organised and a great communicator, resilient with a flexible approach. A real team player, you should also be:

  • Suitability qualified to a degree level within a similar environment

  • Proven track record for delivery of complex projects, working across organisational boundaries and service development.

  • An analytical mind, methodical approach and keen attention to detail

  • Good prioritisation skills and the ability to meet deadlines

  • The flexibility to travel across the location, staying overnight where needed

  • The ability to put people at ease, gather vital information and maintain confidentiality.


  • This post will require National travel, therefore a car driver is essential.

    Supporting our teams across the Scottish Local Authorities, you'll spend most of your time out in the field, providing business information to position our high-quality services with LA's robustly, in-line with best practice. Managing a busy caseload of LA's, you'll be accountable for building relationships that lead to new admissions and new service development across The Cambian Group Educational Services.

    This is no ordinary role. The pace is fast. There's lots of variety. And you'll need to be able to build strong working relationships with Key stakeholders and colleagues across the Cambian Group. Offering lots of autonomy, your role will involve developing partnerships identifying, decisions makers and influencers with Local Authorities and writing regional framework agreements and contract tenders reports.     Requirements for an Enhanced DBS and reference checking will be undertaken in line with government regulations and safer recruitment best practice.
