Full Job Description

You must also be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) or achieve registration within 6 months of your start date.

It is essential you have experience of working in a Technology Enabled Care Service and are able to follow processes and instructions, have knowledge of TSA Quality Standards Framework, SSSC codes of practice and National Standards, have an awareness of health and safety issues in relation to medication, moving and assistance as well as having effective interpersonal skills and are competent in the use of ICT including MS Office Packages.

You must have ability to motivate staff and demonstrate initiative, ability to form positive relationships with service users and colleagues and to work as part of a team, ability to communicate effectively and clearly with services users, colleagues and managers both verbal and in writing with a responsible approach to sensitive information and have a calm, patient with a professional attitude.

You must be available to work a flexible working pattern including evenings/weekends and to be flexible within this pattern.

Possession of or Willing to work towards achieving SVQ level 2 or SCQF level 6 or HNC is essential. Certificate in Social Care and SVQ level 3 or equivalent are desirable.

Renfrewshire Council's Community Alarm Service provides an emergency response to over 3000 vulnerable people living at home within Renfrewshire. Main duties include working as part of a team, supporting and directing staff to react promptly to emergency calls received from the control centre. The team leader will be required to assess situations as these are presented and recommend appropriate action to call handlers and local response staff.
