Full Job Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included. 

The shift pattern for this position is 4 over 7 days (30 hours).

Interested in working a post where you are able to support a patient from an in-patient setting out in the community. Interested in hospital dietetics and community dietetics. Well the West Quadrant Community Dietetic Service has just such a post. The team are looking for a Band 6 Dietitian to come and join our team. You will provide dietetic care to in-patients at the Vale of Leven Hospital and where appropriate you will have the opportunity to follow them up in the community. The post also includes community work too a mix of clinics and domiciliary visits. The post is based at the Vale Centre for Health and Care.

The Dietetic Service are passionate about quality improvement: the role will include reviewing and improving service delivery by undertaking quality improvement opportunities.

You will be part of the wider West Quadrant Community Dietetic team, a friendly, forward thinking and enthusiastic community team which supports practice placements, clinical supervision, general community dietetics and innovation.

A BSc in Human Nutrition & Dietetics, HCPC registration and a full driving license are essential for this role.
