CAMHS Community Mental Health Nurse, Band 6 29.6 hours per week

Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service

Scottish Borders CAMHS aims to deliver person centred care based on the GIRFEC principles within our community. As we progress with our service improvement program work we see this significant post as central, and an exciting opportunity to transform the way we support and care for children / young people and families in the community.

The Community Mental Health Nurse will work with the members of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure services are effective. This will include professional and practice development and ensuring high quality person-centred care is delivered. The post holder will lead by example to maintain high standards of care and practice to improve client care in the specialist CAMHS service. We are looking for a motivated nurse who wants to develop their clinical experience and knowledge of children and young peoples mental health.

We provide Tier 3 multidisciplinary and psychological interventions, and Tier 4 intensive community treatment. Led by our populations changing needs and national guidance we are fostering a period of innovation and positive change across a range of CAMHS activities and also between ourselves and our multiagency partners. 

We provide regular in House training opportunities through Continued Professional Development.
