Condition Monitoring Technician : Providing technical support to the Score Group Team

We are looking for a Condition Monitoring Technician to be the main interface between Score Group and their clients.

The EEP (LDAR) Technician role will be dual role split between the workshop / office and the field either on-site, offshore or overseas.

This split will vary from year to year depending on client demand. The Technician will assist with the planning of work scopes, preparation of tooling and equipment and the subsequent execution of the work in the field.

As part of the role, the technician will also be responsible for the training and development of Score staff in the use of EEP equipment and deployment of the EEP service range.

The technician will also assist with R&D, product development, and provide technical support to other production department workloads when the need arises.

Primary responsibilities

  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards and work instructions

  • Prepare Tooling, Equipment and machinery for Mobilisation, including the run up, inspection and calibration where applicable

  • Prepare manifests, delivery notes and any associated paperwork

  • Promote a positive team environment within the On-Site Services Team both in the workshop and in the field

  • Compile job specific risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) for SOS / EEP scopes

  • Supervise Teams of Score personnel in the execution of field service work.

  • Assist with SOS / EEP R&D, product development and testing

  • Overhaul and recertification of relief valves including conventional, balances bellows, pilot operated and vacuum types

  • Overhaul, test and recertification of all Valves, Actuators and ancillary equipment

  • Troubleshooting and problem solving of all valve and actuator issues

  • Provide core competence in use of valve isolation products, flushing and sealant injection services

  • Provide core competence in use of all controlled bolting equipment

  • Provide core competence in use of small bore tubing and instrumentation

  • Provide core competence in the installation of Integrity solutions

  • Assist with the execution of fugitive emissions LDAR surveys utilising the fleet of diagnostic equipment

  • Deliver toolbox talks internally within the workshop and in the field

  • Conduct field surveys and produce detailed reports of the equipment detailed above in accordance with the client and / or the company's requirements

  • Responsible for the receipt and inspection of all materials, equipment and tooling returning from the field

  • Assist Project Engineers with the planning, quoting of SOS / EEP scopes

  • Provide regular feedback to the Score focal point and ensure timesheets are submitted on a weekly basis for invoicing

  • Produce daily log in the field and compile close out reports post execution

  • Compile joint integrity workpacks

  • Obtain P&D's and approval of purchase orders within your approval limit

  • Checking and approval of contract reviews within your approval limit

  • Participate in client and or 3rd party contractor meetings

    SVQ Level 3 in relevant technical discipline

  • Completed an engineering apprenticeship (preferred)


  • Experience
  • Experience in a technical or engineering environment (ideally within the valve industry)

  • Experience in a previous focal point or customer support role

  • Sound working knowledge of MS Office packages, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
