Full Job Description

We are seeking a Cost Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and analyzing all operating costs for the division, ensuring robust cost management and governance.

Your main objective will be to provide timely and accurate cost reporting to senior stakeholders, including the divisional CFO and MD's. This will involve conducting detailed analysis of costs & dentifying areas for improvement.
Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Senior Finance Business Partner in the oversight of operating expenditure incurred within the Pen trading division

  • Perform meaningful analysis and reporting of all OPEX and compensation costs, providing detailed feedback to key divisional stakeholders on their spend/costs

  • Liaise with wider Finance teams to understand and challenge central cost allocations

  • Work with key stakeholders to measure the productivity of each business area within the division

  • Perform regular review and challenge of cost allocation methodology to ensure appropriate

  • Provide support and reporting as part of the division's M&A tracking

  • Provide support as required for the annual budgeting process

  • Perform cost forecasting working with key stakeholders

  • Assistance and support in response to external and internal audit requests

  • Liaising with Finance Business Partners and other departments out with Management Accounts team to provide support for queries as they arise

  • Build relationships within the Pen division, and across other teams

  • Ensure SOX requirements are fully met

    Qualifed Accountant (ACCA/CA/CIMA or equivalent)

  • Experience gained within a SOX and regulatory/control based environment highly desirable.

  • US GAAP experience - highly desiable.

  • Ability to priority manage and adhere to deadlines

  • Strong analysis skills

  • Strong organisational/influencing skills

  • Ability to adapt to change
