Credit Control Officer
- Annual Salary: 30k - 34k
- Location: Glasgow
- Job Type: Full-time
We are seeking a Credit Control Officer to take charge of the full life cycle of client accounts and the Account Receivable system. This role involves maintaining regular contact with Local Authorities, NHS, and private clients to ensure timely payments. You will be part of a dedicated team and taking full responsibility for client billing.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Invoice processing for onboarding/offboarding and recurring charges.
- Updating invoices as required and verifying remittance.
- Cash posting and allocation on the same day.
- Monitoring client documentation for onboarding and ensuring timely follow-up for missing documents.
- Adhering to internal authorisation processes for refunds and credit note issuance.
- Processing payments on account and ensuring bad debt prevention.
- Recovering historical bad debt in a structured manner.
- Providing detailed analysis of the debtor book to the management team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Credit Controller or Accounts Receivable Officer, with experience in debt chasing Local Authorities.
- Solid understanding of the debt collection process and collection regulations.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in English and MS Office, with strong data entry and customer service skills.
- Exposure to the care sector and knowledge of the Coldharbour system would be highly beneficial.
