Full Job Description

We are seeking to recruit a Part-Time Credit Controller to join our Finance team in either Glasgow or Dundee.


The Role

You will provide effective support to the Finance Department in the collection of client arrears efficiently and with minimal supervision.


The ideal candidate will have experience working within a credit control function and have a good understanding of credit control procedures and techniques and have the proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team.


Duties: day to day responsibilities, list is not conclusive

  • Liaison with external and internal clients to progress payment of Invoices
  • Hold regular meetings/conference calls with Partners/Financial Administrator to review Aged Debt
  • Contacting customers on behalf of surveyors to arrange payment of outstanding invoices
  • Manage queries to resolution through investigation, reconciliation and escalation
  • Recommend appropriate action and manage case to conclusion
  • Ensure Aged Debt system information on AIMs is up to date and accurate and clearly demonstrates actions taken
  • Creation of Office/Firm-wide reports
  • Manage payment plans and make referrals to debt collection agencies/litigation
  • Issuing of reminder letters in accordance with departmental procedures
  • Work closely and in tandem with Property Management, Credit Controller
  • Travel and attend meetings with Partners at various locations

This is a Part-Time role working 21 hours. 3 days a week.
