Full Job Description

As an Ice Cream Shop Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our delightful ice cream shop. Your primary focus will be on ensuring exceptional customer experiences and maintaining high standards of product quality. Here are the key responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership:

  • Day-to-Day Operations: Manage all aspects of the ice cream shop, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.

  • Hiring and Training: Recruit, hire, and train staff members to provide outstanding service.

  • Quality Control: Ensure that ice cream products meet our quality standards and are consistently delightful for our customers.

  • Health and Safety Compliance: Familiarize yourself with health and safety regulations and enforce them within the shop.

  • Customer Experience:

  • Customer Satisfaction: Prioritize customer happiness by creating a welcoming and friendly environment.

  • Menu Knowledge: Educate staff about menu offerings, flavours, and special promotions.

  • Handling Complaints: Address customer concerns promptly and professionally, striving to turn any negative experiences into positive ones.

  • Personalized Service: Encourage staff to engage with customers, learn their preferences, and provide personalized recommendations.

  • Financial Management:

  • Cost Control: Monitor expenses, minimize waste, and optimize resource utilization.

  • Sales Growth: Develop strategies to increase sales, such as introducing new flavours, seasonal specials, or loyalty programs.

  • Pricing Strategies: Collaborate with the team to set competitive prices while maintaining profitability.

  • Inventory Management: Keep track of inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed.

  • Team Leadership:

  • Motivation and Morale: Inspire and motivate staff to deliver exceptional service.

  • Training and Development: Continuously train employees on best practices, customer service, and product knowledge.

  • Conflict Resolution: Handle any personnel issues professionally and fairly.

  • Shift Scheduling: Create efficient schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.

  • Marketing and Promotion:

  • Social Media Engagement: Leverage social media platforms to promote the shop and engage with the community.

    Experience: Previous experience in food service management or a related field is highly desirable.
