Dental Hygienist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Experienced Dental Hygienist at the Old Orchard Dental Practice, Bonnyrigg. Situated on the High Street the practice is easily commutable from Edinburgh and the Lothians.

The role is a part-time position, 1 to 2 days per week with some flexibility across Monday to Thursday, days to be discussed.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established independent, family focused practice. Our philosophy is to provide high quality, pain free dental treatments and preventative care to support the lifelong health of our patients. The practice is currently in a period of expansion, with predominantly private patients and a busy appointment book.

We provide a wide range of general, preventative and restorative dental care services to patients of all ages and with this in mind, we seek an experienced, caring and enthusiastic Dental Hygienist with a minimum of 1 years’ experience in the role.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out preventative hygiene and periodontal treatments.
• Provide high-quality routine general restorations for adults and children.
• Work collaboratively with our team to ensure excellent patient care.
• Manage patient appointments and maintain accurate patient records.
• Continuous professional development to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Requirements:

• Available to start in June (but an earlier or phased introduction can be considered).
• Qualified with a minimum of 1 years’ experience in the role and registered with the General Dental Council (GDC).
• Friendly, caring, and enthusiastic manner with excellent communication skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team – Full Dental Nurse support aprovided.
• Proficient in using computerised dental software (SOE) or similar.
• Indemnity Insurance must be current.
• Evidence of relevant health clearance certification.
• Part time opportunity – 1 to 2 days per week available across Monday-Thursday 9.00am-5.00pm (days to be discussed)

Hourly rate £33-35 per hour (dependent on experience)
