What you will do:

If you are an enthusiastic, forward thinking clinician  who is interested in  a dual role combining clinical specialism with some operational management as a band 7 Community Team Lead this may just be the one.

You will have a chance to build on your current experience/learning through commencing the implementation and development of this exciting new role supported by the Dietetic Service Manager, Dietetic Hospital Team Lead and AHP colleagues.

In addition, you will have the chance to start to shape our current and future workforce and through provision of Practice Placement programmes for placements A, B & C.

Personal support will be provided to help you to thrive in a challenging role and be able to develop your knowledge and skills in new areas through peer supervision and CPD.

Ideally, you should be able to articulate your experience, leadership capabilities and evidence quality improvement activities

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics

- Registration with Health Professions Council

- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development to MSc. or equivalent

- Evidence of clinical practice across a range of conditions & variety of settings/client groups.

- Proven experience in supervising and/or managing staff/students

- Knowledge of key national, local and organisational targets and how they relate to the job.

- Evidence of problem solving in different settings.

- Demonstrate Leadership skills

- Evidence of post graduate training/specialist short courses equivalent to Masters degree.

Upto 37 hours per week

From 1 April 2024, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change workers in Scotland will be reduced.  Full-time hours will reduce from 37.5 to 37 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings.

NHS Ayrshire and Arran will implement this change but it may not be possible to fully transition from 1 April and there may therefore be some areas of the organisation where implementation may take longer.  If the department is currently unable to safely accommodate the reduced hours from 1st April, you may be required to work 37.5 hours per week (pro rata for part-time staff)  until the department can meet the requirements without impacting patient safety - you will, of course, be remunerated accordingly. NHS Ayrshire and Arran is committed to full implementation of the 37 hour working week across all areas as soon as it is safe to do so
