Highland Health and Social Care Partnership help people from all walks of life, as well as their families or carers. Health and Social Care in Highland provides support and assistance to a diverse population across a broad spectrum of services, including Residential Care Services. This post is responsible for carrying out domestic and cleaning duties in line with infection control and cleaning schedules in order to maintain a clean and safe environment.

As a domestic assistant within one of our care homes, youll help to create a warm and homely environment that enables us to meet each residents unique needs. Keeping the home clean and safe is no small task, which is why the role of a Domestic is so important. The variety of housekeeping and cleaning tasks you carry out will ensure everyone can enjoy a clean, tidy and welcoming environment. This means youll have a direct impact on our residents, their visitors and all the staff working to support them.

You will need a caring nature, personable approach and good practical skills. Just as importantly, you should be reliable and keen to use your attention to detail to make a positive difference. NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.  However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.
