Full Job Description

As an Electrical Supervisor, you will need to be able to demonstrate experience in Electrical Installation Works, Managerial Roles and Electrical Engineering. Supervisors directly supervise all site work activities. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the work carried out by the electrical team including planning and developing work schedules. Duties included within this role, but not limited to the following:

  • Assisting of scoping work activities and engaging with the Client's representatives as required.

  • Engage in internal audit programmes in support of the Contract.

  • Ability to work on challenging timelines and have the agility to readily switch focus when priorities change.

  • Demonstrate a pro-active approach to the role through the identification of improvement opportunities.

  • Provide construction input during design and planning phases of projects as required.

  • Communicate effectively with employees in your charge.

  • Provide input into the development of project cost estimates and execution programmes as required.

  • Conducting ongoing evaluations of personnel.

  • Ensure site electrical and instrument activities on site are adhered to at all times both company and client processes.

  • Analysis of construction problems with input to providing solutions for issues.

  • Write, review and verification of paperwork in a timely manner (RAMS, Material Requisitions, and Resource allocation, Testing and Inspection records) to ensure compliance with the scopes of works on site.

  • Ensure all scopes of work are delivered safely, on time and efficiently.

  • Monitor the safe systems of work that we use. Ensure site progress and allocation of labour is recorded accurately and reported to the E&I Superintendent daily highlighting any challenges as required.

  • Strive to continuously improve working practices.

  • Carry out daily inspections of HSEQ requirements to ensure compliance with Company and Client Standards.

  • Support the electrical department in areas of training or development as required.

  • Lead by example and set clear achievable expectations for electrical department to help achieve site management's objectives.

  • Enforcing the company safe working ethic including enforcement of safety regulations, health and safety and adherence to proper codes and standards is a primary Commitment.

    Preferred

  • CCNSG Safety Passport.

  • IOSH Managing Safety Cert.

  • CITB - SSSTS or similar.

  • Extensive (10+ years) experience of site E&I activities in Oil & Gas, PetroChem, Pharmaceutical or other regulated industry.

  • Time served Electrical Apprenticeship.


  • Essential
  • NVQ educated in relevant Electrical Engineering or similar.

  • City and Guilds 2391 (or equivalent) in Electrical Testing and Inspection

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

  • COMPEX 1-4 & 5-6 (preferred).

  • Familiarity with relevant legislative requirements, CDM, Temporary Works, ATEX, Electricity at Work Regulations and compliance to Client Engineering standards.
