The Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh (RCPE) is seeking to recruit an Education Assistant to join the College’s Department of Education, Training and Assessment.

With a worldwide reputation for educational excellence, RCPE exists to promote the highest standards of patient care. One of the ways we do this is through our programme of education to support current and future doctors, particularly hospital doctors (physicians). This role is ideal for someone early in their career or keen to embark on a new career in the delivery of educational events, and would like to work within a friendly and motivated team with opportunities for development.

The Role

This role primarily provides administrative support for a range of education events across the year alongside some support, including travel provisions and other requests made by the College’s International Committee. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a range of support services to assist the College’s Education Coordinators in the smooth running of RCPE education events. You would also provide some administration support for the Dean of Education.

Please refer to the Job Description for the full details.

The Person:

We are looking for a polite, helpful and efficient person with excellent digital skills, who ‘goes the extra mile’ to exceed internal and external customer expectations. An enthusiastic self-starter with a positive attitude and interest in education and event support. Good communication and IT/digital skills are essential as well as meticulous attention to detail and the ability to process, store and recall data accurately. With a large and varied education programme to support, any candidate must be able to manage potentially conflicting priorities, remain calm under pressure and be an excellent team player.

Please refer to the Job Description for the full details.
