Full Job Description

Specific Responsibilities

The Health & Safety Advisor for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache's Environment, Health & Safety team at the company's Aberdeen office reporting to the EHS Manager.

This role will be primarily responsible for the following:

-Supports the Offshore Environment, Health and Safety Team for the assigned asset to ensure delivery of its strategic objectives, providing proactive and effective EH&S guidance, support and positive challenge to all areas of our operations (projects, drilling, operations, supply chain, corporate).

-Actively facilitates enhanced collaboration and interaction between onshore EH&S and other departments, including operational assets.

-Assists in development, and successful delivery, of proactive EH&S improvement and internal/external audit plans which seek to drive performance improvements, ensuring key responsibilities are identified, communicated and measured.

-Facilitates regulatory inspections, including the coordination of inspections, correspondence and commitments, sharing across other Apache assets where appropriate

-Ensures compliance with legislation, policies, guidance and best practice through team monitoring of developments and sharing of requirements amongst the wider organisations.

-Ensures the effectiveness of the Apache Business Management System.

-Supports Corporate objectives, rollouts etc. across Apache's North Sea Region.

-Responsible for providing health & safety expertise to key business processes e.g., incident management, risk assessments, auditing

-Performs other duties, completes additional tasks and supports ad hoc projects as required

Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

-Must be qualified to Degree Level or equivalent (e.g. NEBOSH Diploma,
NVQ Level 4/5/6)

-Should have a current Membership of a professional body (e.g. IOSH, IIRSM)

-HSE auditing or inspection experience and/or qualifications

-Experience of managing Regulator interfaces and relationships

-Experience of working under ISO Standards, including development of management systems

-Extensive health and safety experience in supporting UKCS operations (greenfield and brownfield) - operational, projects, drilling - alongside supervision of personnel

-Excellent working knowledge of UK offshore HSE legislation
