Are you an experienced electrician looking to make a difference?

SECTT, the Scottish Electrical Charitable Training Trust, manages the industry approved SJIB electrical installation apprentice and adult training programmes in Scotland. We work on behalf of the Scottish Joint Industry Board (SJIB) to ensure high-quality training and development for future electricians.

SECTT is currently looking for a self-motivated individual to join the Assessment team based in our Edinburgh Assessment Centre.

Position: FICA Assessor

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments in accordance with the SJIB Licence.
  • Monitor and assess candidate performance during assessments
  • Liaise with the Centre Manager on candidate performance
  • Maintain a safe assessment/work environment

Minimum Requirements:

  • Modern Apprenticeship and SVQ in Electrical Installation at SCQF Level 7 or equivalent
  • SJIB Approved Electrician status
  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience, post apprenticeship

All necessary training will be provided.

Starting Salary: £36,193 (rising to £41,146 upon completion of the SJIB training requirements)

Hours: 35-hour week, Monday to Friday.
