Full Job Description

T.R. Aitchison Electricians are a small electrical contractor with over 60 years of experience in the industry. They specialize in reactive and planned electrical maintenance work, as well as electrical testing for both domestic and commercial clients. As a member of SELECT (Scottish Electrical Contractors Association), all of their work is guaranteed. They pride themselves on high standards of work and customer service., This is a full time on-site role for an Electrician. The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems for various clients. They will perform electrical work according to relevant safety codes, diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems, and use a variety of testing devices to inspect and evaluate electrical systems

  • Completed a relevant apprenticeship

  • A valid 18th Edition and ECS Card

  • SVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification

  • A valid driving licence

  • Demonstrated experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair work and electrical inspection and testing

  • Understanding of electrical systems and applicable codes and regulations

  • Able to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems effectively

  • Comfortable using a variety of testing devices and tools to inspect and evaluate electrical systems

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Physical ability to perform the job duties, including lifting and using ladders and power tools

  • Prioritizing safety, following best practices, and ensuring customer satisfaction are the most important aspects of this role. Candidates who possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to job performance will be the most successful in this role.
