Full Job Description

Base Location: Flexible, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key UK or Ireland sites, which includes but is not limited to:- Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness, Reading, Havant, Belfast or Dublin., This is a unique opportunity to join SSE as Employee Engagement Consultant for an interim period of 12 months. In this role, you'll be at the heart of fostering a vibrant workplace culture in a role which offers a blend of excitement, connection, and meaningful impact.

As Employee Engagement Consultant, you'll help to drive our employee voice strategy, ensuring every SSE team member has a platform to be heard, no matter where they are or how they work. You'll manage and support various listening approaches, enhance digital survey processes, and analyse engagement metrics to drive actionable insights for our business units. Additionally, you'll lead and support key surveys like the SSE Exit Survey, Six-Month Check-In, and support our annual Great Place to Work survey, facilitating and influencing impactful data-driven decisions across our organisation. Your role will extend to supporting local listening strategies, collaborating with diverse teams to drive continuous improvement. Another key part of this role is driving our Group-wide employee programs, ranging from recognition initiatives to sustainability efforts. Your tasks will encompass seamless program delivery, managing stakeholder relationships, and maximising engagement through high
quality communications and events.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

-Support the delivery of SSE's employee engagement strategy by collaborating with various teams and leveraging HR data to provide insights. Additionally, oversee the management of employee program platforms, support key initiatives, and organise employee events as needed, fostering a culture of engagement and inclusion.

- Collaborate with HR stakeholders to deliver insightful feedback from employee listening activities, ensuring alignment with SSE's overall strategy. Foster relationships with cultural leads, manage supplier relationships, and support employee champion groups to drive engagement initiatives across business units, earning trust as a reliable advocate for employee voices.

- Support the delivery of employee engagement data, integrating sentiment, cultural metrics, and lifecycle data to inform People Plans and foster continuous improvement in SSE's culture and operations.

- Demonstrate proactive leadership and collaborative teamwork within and across a diverse range of stakeholder groups, fostering engagement outcomes that align with business unit stakeholders' needs and ensuring cohesion of strategies and messaging across HR and Corporate Affairs teams.

- Provide comprehensive support to internal customers, guiding them through processes like recognition, employee listening and volunteering, managing inboxes to promptly address colleague inquiries, and facilitating effective communication between stakeholder groups as needed.

A passion for employee engagement along with experience of delivering engagement and communication strategy, plans, and campaigns.

- Ability to research, analyse and present employee data, cultural metrics, and business insight to support high quality engagement strategies and activities.

- A flair for communication, able to influence and engage people at all levels of the organisation, field questions, and accept challenge.

- A democratic approach with the ability to listen and respond to multiple objectives whist having the confidence to challenge at all levels of the business.

- Strong working knowledge of Office 365, including MS Forms, Powerpoint, and Sharepoint.

Salary: £33,500 - £50,300 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
