Full Job Description

We have a vacancy for a full-time position for a Safe and Warm Adviser and Trainer working 35 hours per week Monday to Friday. A job share for this vacancy would be considered.

The successful candidate will learn to

Provide advice and practical support to clients to tackle fuel poverty.
Provide advice and practical support to clients to challenge fuel bills and where necessary negotiate repayments with the energy provider.
Deliver training sessions to provide information and educate front line workers on CO safety issues and other energy issues.
Deliver training sessions to educate clients on CO safety issues.
Develop close partnerships with organisations who are working with hard to reach client groups, as detailed in the project plan.
Develop a multi-stream promotional campaign to publicise SWAS to client groups, partner organisations and the wider community.
Keep up to date with legislative changes and undertake appropriate training to maintain personal competence.
Adhere to the principles of the company and the uniform standards in case recording and correspondence.
Contribute to the overall efficiency of the organisation.
Carry out other duties as specified by the Manager and required by the needs of the post, The adviser will play a key role in the delivery of in-depth holistic and bespoke energy advice to those in or at risk of fuel poverty as well as support and deliver group sessions throughout the year within Dumfries & Galloway area.
