Full Job Description

Our Practice provides support to the UK's largest infrastructure projects, as well as a number of national frameworks, servicing a range of complex and challenging brownfield sites. Our Warrington team has considerable experience providing the investigation, assessment, remediation and redevelopment of brownfield land, as well as servicing internal teams for road, rail and other infrastructure projects.,

  • Completion / checking of Phase 1 Desk Studies.

  • Designing and organising Phase 2 site investigations including complete specification, contracts and bills of quantities and preparation of commercial offers, health and safety documentation, supervision of contractors, monitoring and sampling.

  • Data management and development of conceptual site models and carrying out qualitative and semi-quantitative risk assessments for human health, controlled waters and property receptors. Factual and interpretative reporting

  • Mentoring junior staff.

  • Developing own competence and maintain CPD necessary to fulfil the responsibilities of the role, with support from the business on own training and development needs.

    Due to expanding project workload and client base we are looking for a motivated Environmental Consultant / Scientist/ Engineer to join our growing team in Warrington. You will be a highly motivated individual with proven years- experience in the field of contaminated land investigation, reclamation and remediation, and be capable of delivering the high standard of geo-environmental consultancy services for which AtkinsRéalis is renowned. The role will include a requirement for site-based works so a drivers licence is essential., Degree qualified in a relevant engineering or science subject (e.g. geology, geotechnics, hydrogeology, chemistry, environmental science).

  • Experience Demonstrate good, relevant land contamination/brownfield land experience in Phase 1 Desk Studies and Phase 2 Site Investigations and report writing.

  • Relevant H&S training, e.g. CSCS, CITB Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme, HSG47, SHEA Gas and SCO 1& 2, Persons & BESC preferred but not essential.
