Full Job Description

A prominent, family-owned, general building contractor in Central Scotland is seeking an Estimating Manager to join their team. With a reputation for delivering quality work, and maintaining strong relationships with loyal clients, this role offers the opportunity to estimate for a wide variety of privately negotiated contracts and competitive tenders across various sectors, including commercial, industrial, healthcare, and residential.

 

As Estimating Manager, you will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Leading the estimating and cost-planning function across multiple projects.
  • Liaising with external stakeholders.
  • Developing work-winning strategies.
  • Managing, developing, and reviewing strategic bids.
  • Managing the Estimating and Quantity Surveying team.
  • Mentoring and assisting in training junior members of the team.
  • Undertaking monthly reporting.

 

To be considered for this role, you must have extensive experience in estimating for general building works, coupled with a thorough understanding of Scottish supply networks and materials prices.
