Full Job Description

T he Facilities and Maintenance Enginee r will be based on Flotta , with the main responsibility to ensure the safety and professionalism of facilities and equipment. This will include maintenance of the buildings (excluding OIC external maintenance), operational systems (non-electrical/IT) and the mechanical equipment within both engineering and environmental departments.

You will also work with the engineering teams to design, build, and operate process and laboratory equipment as may be required to fulfil internal and external client requirements.

Key to this role is the commitment to undertake all work in a safe and competent manner and to abide by all relevant HSE regulations, providing a safe working environment.

Your day to day will involve:

  • To maintain and upkeep the NOV Flotta facilities, both internally and externally, to ensure readiness for project work. This includes both the Environmental and Engineering sides of the business.

  • To assist with and develop the existing maintenance programme, including continuous record keeping.

  • To assist project teams with the construction, installation, operation, and removal of equipment in a safe and competent manner.

  • To ensure responsibility for the receipt and dispatch of goods at the Flotta facility, including waste disposal/management.

  • To provide support for ongoing project work as required by the Company.

  • Support and contribute to the training and mentoring of colleagues as necessary.

  • Ensure a high standard of professionalism is maintained when representing NOV.

  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the test hall, office space, laboratories and active work areas.

  • Ensure personal compliance with all HSE legislation and HSE Company policy.

  • Be fully familiar and fully conversant with department and company policies, procedures and processes, ensuring all work and actions undertaken are in full compliance at all times.

  • Support other departments and carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line management.

    Apprenticeship or similar qualification in mechanical engineering

  • Experience as a qualified engineer or fitter

  • Technical experience within the oil, water, waste or alternative energy industries (preferably)

  • Knowledge of operating and maintaining pumps and motors, would be advantage

  • Practical 'hands-on' skills

  • Computer literacy (MS Office)
