Full Job Description

A well-established globally recognised business requires a proactive and attentive Finance Assistant for their Glasgow office. 


The Company

This business is undoubtedly one of the market leaders within their sector working on a global scale with over 200 years of experience.


The Role

This company is looking to hire a Finance Assistant to add value to the finance team whilst also developing and progressing their own accounting skillset with room for growth.

You will report directly to the Finance Manager and be responsible for the preparation of a number of dashboards and reports. You will also be responsible for the monthly freight invoicing and a variety of other ad-hoc financial tasks, ensuring a rounded experience and no two days being the same. 


Responsibilities

  • Prepare weekly KPI dashboards to support the Operations Team
  • Prepare weekly operational dashboards for 3rd Party Clients
  • Prepare monthly reporting packs for 3rd Party Clients
  • Ensuring all Freight costs are captured accurately in the supporting finance files
  • Prepare charging for all 3rd Party Client freight for inclusion in their monthly billing
  • Responsible for validation of all freight carriers invoicing (c£8m p.a.)
  • Liaising with freight carriers to resolve invoice queries
  • Main contact for all internal freight cost requests
  • Provide monthly reporting and analysis on the UK pallet freight costs
  • Maintain despatch profiles for all freight carriers
  • Support the finance team with ad-hoc analysis and projects
