Full Job Description

A well-established and forward thinking business requires a proactive and attentive Finance Assistant for their East Kilbride office, on a full-time or part-time basis.

The Role

This company is looking to hire a Finance Assistant to support the Financial Controller with the day to day running of the finance function. 


You will report directly to the Financial Controller and be responsible for for the invoicing on both sides of the ledger, general bookkeeping and a variety of other ad-hoc financial tasks, ensuring a rounded experience and no two days being the same. 


Responsibilities

  •  Manage cash and banking on a daily basis, in line with forecast
  •  Preparing sales documentation, raise sales invoices and oversee credit control
  • Oversee purchase ledger input and pay suppliers, dealing with any queries. 
  • Manage company ledgers and assist with customer and supplier account reconciliation.
  • Conducting bank reconciliations.
  • Submit payroll data to payroll provider for monthly payroll and year end returns
  • Processing of employee expense claims, verifying accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Prepare quarterly VAT return for review
  • Perform data entry and administrative duties as needed.
  • Assist with monthly and year-end financial reporting, including payroll reports
  • Ensure strict confidentiality and privacy of financial records, especially payroll
  • Assisting with administrative tasks as required

On Offer
