We are looking for an experienced Finance Officer to join our small but busy team based at our National Office in Paisley. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to share and develop your skills while contributing to our mission to ensure that every person in Scotland who is impacted by Huntington s disease has access to the specialist care and support they need when they need it, regardless of where they live. Your duties will include a range of finance-related processing tasks, such as income, expenditure and expenses. With at least two years experience in a similar role, you will have a good working knowledge of SAGE Accounts or similar financial software packages. Although no formal qualifications are required, the candidate must have a clear understanding of accountancy principles including journal entries and the prepayments/accruals system. An excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Excel, Outlook, Word and Teams is also essential. Training and a full induction programme will be provided, and you will be supplied with a laptop to support hybrid working. About the role Reporting to the Senior Finance Officer, the Finance Officer is accountable for delivering an accurate trail of company income and expenditure and is responsible for a variety of activities. The Finance Officer is a key team member in the operation of our Finance department, based at our National Office in Paisley. After induction and training is completed, the successful candidate must be competent working with minimal supervision in either office or working from home environments. Key attributes for this position are excellent attention to detail, ability to follow SHA processes/procedures and skills to effectively prioritise workload whist working both methodically and accurately to meet tight deadlines.
