We will consider flexible working arrangements for any of our roles and also offer work place accommodations to ensure you have what you need to effectively deliver in your role., This role sits within the Actuarial Operations & Support team within the wider M&G Model & Valuations Centre of Excellence. The role holder will be expected to contribute to supporting the financial strength of the business by successfully balancing the competing demands of commerciality and prudence in a well governed and controlled environment. This role requires a senior actuarial trainee who has practical experience of with-profits funds and products. The focus of the role is that of a technical specialist at this level that will either be supporting components of a complex process or the design and development of new or improved solutions to meet business objectives.
The role will include the opportunity to:
Learn about the management of PruFund, including the setting of expected growth rates and unit pricing. Help us ensure fair outcomes for our customers through the setting of bonus rates and the production of key management information. Get closer to the forefront of the business by supporting product and fund development initiatives. Work with colleagues across with other areas within other areas of the business to support delivery of pricing and bonus setting.
Key Responsibilities:
To produce and be accountable for the technical accuracy of financial information to support the production of bonus rates and PruFund prices. Improving our bonus setting and monitoring models, throughout our various processes, documentation and controls.
You will have:
Good technical actuarial knowledge, with attention to detail Motivated and willing to take responsibility and ownership of the work assigned Demonstrable experience of problem solving and providing practical solutions to complex problems Strong collaboration skills Ability to express own viewpoint and to communicate clearly
Knowledge of the business and/ or with-profits funds and products would be an advantage, however on-the-job training will be provided to successful candidate.
