Financial Accountant

Jenson Fisher have been engaged on an exclusive basis by a dynamic and forward thinking organisation based in Glasgow City Centre to recruit a Financial Accountant on a full-time permanent basis. This role would an ambitious and driven recently qualified CA looking to gain well-rounded experience in a high-performing finance team. The successful candidate will ideally be stepping out of a practice and keen to secure their first Industry role.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will have wide-ranging duties including but not limited to:

- All aspects of the month end accounts preparation for one of the main trading entities within the group
- Preparation of financial statements for a number of legal entities.
- Heavy involvement in the external audit process
- Assist with daily cash management
- Technical accounting support
- Process improvements
- Assisting with preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Reporting performance to key stakeholders
- Analysis of profit and loss; comparing actuals to budget and forecasts
- Assisting the Financial Controller with ad hoc tasks and projects

Requirements:

- Fully qualified chartered accountant (ICAS, ACCA, CIMA)
- Previous experience of accounts preparation
- Knowledge of FRS 102 and group accounting
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly accurate and detail-oriented
- Highly proficient Excel skills
- Team player
