Fnance Manager

Location: Dunfermline - hybrid working

In this role we are looking for someone to lead the team responsible for Financial Operations, Accounting, Statutory Accounting, Annual Audit and Taxation reporting for international subsidiaries and legal entities.

Your role will ensure there are robust financial controls in place and that each entity has clean accurate filings with the local country and are reflected in Group accounts. You will deliver this via a team of finance professionals.

We are looking for someone who is a Qualified Accountant and has up to date new knowledge on new UK GAAP, FRS and IFRS technical knowledge and prior experience of applying this in a statutory, audit or taxation accounting role

.
There will be project work as a part of this role and ideally you will bring a change and development mindset with you. Knowledge of leasing, fixed asset and other expenses technical treatments would be preferred.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Support the Financial Controller on matters relating to legal entities including statutory accounting, audit and tax compliance.
• Management Accounting and other month-end activities to ensure reports are available to Finance Business Partnering team.
• Supporting the control environment via the development of processes and procedures to enhance and improve controls.
• Responsibility for Tax and statutory reporting for the UK companies and VAT compliance.

The person:

• A fully qualified accountant holding a CIMA, ICAS, ACCA or ICAEW licence. Strong technical expertise with experience of Management and Financial Accounting activity.
• Previous experience of statutory accounts, taxation accounting and having up to date knowledge of new UK GAAP, FRS and IFRS technical reporting standards is a priority.
• Previous experience of ERP systems, Excel and other IT programmes to a high-level would be essential.
• Good time management skills, excellent attention to detail and the capacity to build relationships and thrive in a small team environment.
