Do you want to help us transform lives through reading and writing? We are looking for a pool of freelancers to support our Reading Schools Accreditation process. You will have a knowledge of Reading Schools and the Scottish Curriculum. What we offer Competitive salary. You will be remunerated for the hours you work. Freelancer contract. Fixed term contract Work remotely. Scottish Book Trust is a national charity that believes books, reading and writing have the power to change lives. We work towards a Scotland where everyone has an equal opportunity to thrive through literacy. We are looking for a pool of freelancers to support our Reading Schools Accreditation process. You will have a knowledge of Reading Schools and the Scottish Curriculum. You will support schools through all stages of their Reading Schools accreditation and provide appropriate feedback to schools. The role will work with Reading Schools colleagues within the School Communities Team. The team delivers a range of programmes that inspire schools, learning professionals, children and young people to engage with reading and writing. Key programmes include Reading Schools, Read Write Count with the First Minister and Authors Live. The post may involve working with young people and vulnerable adults, therefore appointment will be conditional upon securing a PVG from Disclosure Scotland., None specified

Salary: 18 pounds per hour Status: Fixed term contract. Hours will be dependent on the demand from schools for accreditation in 2024 and offer of availability to work by the Freelancer.
