FriendZ Worker (Adult Services)

We are looking for an individual to run FriendZ Space, our popular, online programme for adults with Down s syndrome, The ideal candidate would have experience in planning sessions, facilitating groups (in person and online) for young people and adults with learning disabilities., None specified

Down's Syndrome Scotland (DSS) is a parent led charity which was established in 1982. We are the only charity in Scotland dedicated solely to supporting people with Down's syndrome (Ds) and their carers. Our aims are that:

• Children and adults with Ds, their parents and families, receive appropriate and timely information and support through all the ages and stages of their lives.


• Public and professional attitudes to Ds will be more positive and inclusive.


• Children and adults with Ds will be provided with choices and support to enable them to develop and reach their full social, physical and intellectual potential.

10,920 pa and 5% pension contribution pro rata. Plus 6.00 per week tax free working from home allowance. 17.5 hours per week(over 3 days, including Wednesday and Thursday).
