Our client has an opening for a nursery room leader to join their skilled team.

  • The Role:
    They offer high quality affordable extended childcare for children from 6 weeks - 12 years. You will be responsible for the overall running of your assigned playroom in the nursery. This includes delivering and maintaining high quality care that stimulates children and aids each child's personal development. It also involves supervising other playroom staff, sharing professional knowledge to improve practices, and making sure all regulatory requirements are complied with in the nursery.

    Main Duties
  • Promoting High Quality Care

  • Communicating with parents, carers, and the local Authority

  • Keeping children safe and Healthy

  • Supervising staff and assigning tasks


  • What we need from you:
    They are looking for practitioners who are positive, fervent, and enthusiastic about childcare. If you are a collaborator, with a caring and kindly personality, who is dependable, accountable, and able to build close relationships with children and their families then they want to hear from you.

  • Educated to level 3 or above with a recognised professional qualification in early years education or equivalent Experience of supplying a programme of care and play activities for children from birth to 5 years in a nursery or similar setting.

  • Have proven organisational skills and experience of leading a small team.

  • Have knowledge and understanding of current legislature and best practice documents.


  • In addition, you will need to be flexible and resourceful, with a strong commitment to delivering first class childcare.
    All staff and volunteers are expected to demonstrate their commitment to safeguarding children and young people within their work.
