garden designer

We are looking for a garden designer on a full time or near full time basis to join our team. We are a growing design practice based in Drumoak, Aberdeenshire creating designs for mostly private clients throughout Aberdeen City and Shire and sometimes further afield.

Core Responsibilities:
+ In consultation with Snr Garden Designer, generation of Concept Plans and 3D visuals for projects, using Vectorworks and Twinmotion or other visualisation software and/or hand drawn sketches
+ Preparation of detail plans, including construction detailing and planting plans
+ Participate in site visits including laying out plants to a planting plan
+ Working mainly from our studio in rural Aberdeenshire, flexible working available.
+ Plant sourcing
+ Laying out plants to a planting plan.

+ Strong design skills and willingness to work on a variety of projects at different stages
+ A strong interest in garden design and landscaping.
+ Good plant knowledge to create site/client appropriate planting plans
+ Ability to work both individually and to collaborate as part of a team
+ Good customer service and willingness to find solutions
+ Organised, self-motivated and attention to detail.
+ Eagerness to learn and grow within the field.
+ Enthusiasm for plants and biodiversity, + A degree or diploma in Garden Design, Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, or related field.
+ Basic knowledge of Vectorworks is advantageous but not required, as we provide training.
+ Full UK driving license and own reliable transport
